Using HSA/FSA for Massage Therapy at Fresh Start Massage
Massage therapy is considered an eligible medical expense; however, there are guidelines you may need to follow when using your HSA or FSA funds:
- Discuss with your Healthcare Provider your intention to use HSA/FSA funds for massage therapy and determine if it’s a suitable treatment option for your condition. You may need a prescription to submit to your FSA/HSA carrier for proof of medical necessity.
- Confirm that the massage therapist is qualified and has an NPI Number.
- Maintain accurate records for all massage appointments for reimbursement or payment through your HSA/FSA.
